Mission and objectives:
HUJRA works for sustainable development of communities, integrate socio-economic development with conservation of natural resources and energy, and enhance the knowledge for such integration through applied research. It has the following objectives
  • Organization and empowerment of communities including women for collective decision making regarding their sustainable socio-economic development
  • Building capacity of the communities for undertaking socio-economic development in integration with the conservation of their natural resources;
  • Enhancement of the knowledge base through applied research for sustainable utilization and optimum output from the natural resources;
  • Advocating with government and non-government organizations for mitigating environmental impacts of the development; and  
  • Provision of partnership in private sector to donors, NGOs and government organizations for community development and conservation projects, and interventions
