Objectives:

To achieve its over all goal, the project objectives would include the following:
- Compare gender role in traditional society among families of urban, peri-urban and rural settlements
- Explore gender based labor distribution strategies adopted by different social groups in urban, peri-urban and rural settlements
- Investigate variation in gender based labor distribution among families occupying different ecological niches in tribal and mountain societies
- Investigate training needs of subsistence women farmer occupying different socio-ecological zones
